The home and The world

Hello everyone,

This task is response to the activity assigned by Yesha Bhatt Ma'am as part of thinking activity. In this blog I would share about my experience of this activity. This activity is part of the novel 'The home and The World ' by Rabindranath Tagore.

First ma'am give us information about the writer and novel after that we had screening of the film 'Ghare Baire'.We had a reading of the novel by the students then we had to write something in English language then we translated it into Bengali language.

We had a guest who know the Bengali language Budhiditya Shankar das ma'am as guest. We present our write up infront of her and then she explained us how Google translation machine work. She also tried give us an idea about how Bengali language worked like, punctuation marks and all. She also explain that how Google translation do translation. We can not completely relay on it because there are so many meanings of single word.

English 

Friendship is a relationship of mutual affection between people.It is a stronger form of interpersonal bond than an "association", such as a classmate, neighbor, coworker, or colleague.

"Friendship is the hardest thing in the WORLD to explain. It's not something you Learn in school.

But if you haven't Learned

the meaning of friendship, You Really haven't Learned anything."

Bengali translation:-

বন্ধুত্ব হল মানুষের মধ্যে পারস্পরিক স্নেহের সম্পর্ক৷ এটি একটি "সমিতি" যেমন সহপাঠী, প্রতিবেশী, সহকর্মী বা সহকর্মীর চেয়ে আন্তঃব্যক্তিক বন্ধনের একটি শক্তিশালী রূপ৷

"বন্ধুত্ব হল ব্যাখ্যা করা বিশ্বের সবচেয়ে কঠিন জিনিস। এটি এমন কিছু নয় যা আপনি স্কুলে শিখেন।

কিন্তু আপনি যদি না শিখে থাকেন

বন্ধুত্বের অর্থ, তুমি সত্যিই কিছুই শিখোনি।"

 Transcript:-

Bandhutba hala mānuṣēra madhyē pārasparika snēhēra samparka. Ēṭi ēkaṭi"paricita" bā ēkaṭi"samiti" yēmana sahapāṭhī, pratibēśī, sahakarmī bā sahakarmīra cēẏē āntaḥbyaktika bandhanēra ēkaṭi śaktiśālī rūpa.

"Bandhutba hala byākhyā karā biśbēra sabacēẏē kaṭhina jinisa. Ēṭi ēmana kichu naẏa yā āpani skulē śikhēna.

Kintu āpani yadi nā śikhē thākēna

bandhutbēra artha, tumi satyi'i kichu'i śikhōni."

So, I wrote about friendship and the value of the friendship in one's life. If one can not be part of friendship in entire life his learnt nothing from the life. Because friendship is not we learn into school but it's more that that. When I had read my write up in which ma'am identify some basic errors which Google translator did and she also explain how it can happened. Because English language has different punctuation marks then other all languages.
