Why are we so scared?

Hello everyone,
This blog is response to the task assigned by professor Dilip Barad sir as part of thinking activity in which I would like to share my point of view about this particular aspect of society.

Whenever we are scared or have fear of something there must be some kind of lost or disability to overpower the thing. For example, One employee do their work properly because he has fear of loosing the job. But in today's time people are more scared about technology or AI to overpower them or create some kind of atmosphere in which they can control the human. If we ask people reason behind their fear of technology then most of the people would say they don't have knowledge about it - like how to operate.

Here I would like to share my personal experience not about the robot but the smartphone as our grandparents doesn't have much knowledge about it so whenever I give them my phone then they are scared that if they touch anywhere then some problem happens or we lost something so they don't use it much or they are not able to trust on such devices easily. So that is situation of Grand generation.

Sometimes fear can be a rational response when it comes to new technology. Fear of the unknown and how it will impact your role within an organization is a legitimate feeling. Vendors usually promise that their application will do everything that is needed and the same goes for new hardware solutions. New technologies come with promises of efficiency, updated functionality, and layers of techno-jargon.

We live in digital time or World where everything work on digital mode but as we have fear of using it like they have special code or sign to work and it is always work like that. So when we talked about the machine then here machine is directly compared with human because machines start to take position of human , as machines work with too much speed and perfectly, there is no chance for the mistakes. So it may be reason to scared from the technology as it's took job and position of the human and human because jobless.

Another one is that Robot and all are work on AI mode where everything is set up in machines so when some kind of error found in the device then it can not be change automatically and without the maker or operator of it one can not control it so it leads some kind of destruction.

If we look at the history people always live in some kind of fear but it is changed with the time. The idea or concept of fear is like when someone had bad experience then they started avoiding it and like that everyone had some kind of bad experience and they started making story of it and time and again people adding something into it. There we never found original story but the version of the people which were not at when it start.

If we look at present time then fear is technology and digital world. Technology is something which requires much knowledge about it and without that one can face problems to using it. Like everything is on our finger now so it is easy for those who has knowledge of it. But for illiterate it is hard to use so they have fear to use it. There are many series or films which show tha fear of technology or digital world, Ra-one , Koi mil Gaya , Robot etc....
If we look at technology so it's made by humans so it must be controlled by men only as technology don't has mind to work without human but if we look today then it is robot or machine who take the job of the people and that's why people have fear of it. As machine works faster and perfectly than human. Machines are not required any kind of salary so it's good about it. In the world of technology people should accept technology to live life.

People tend to fear things they're dependent on, but have little control over – and that's almost a perfect description of technology.
First Short Film:-

In the first short film there is story of Robot, Mother and son. When Movie start Robot is cooking food for Son (Jungo) but Robot making it with Robot oil when mom came to know about that she became too worried about her son and tries to correct the code into Robot. Second time when son denied for drawing Robot forced him for doing and attacked on son. Mom became worried about whatever happened and remove all the memories form the Robot and remove cell from it and buried it in garden by saying that he is died and hired another Robot for son. This one is also doing same thing and wearing the clothes of old Robot so mom became worried about that and tried to checkout buried Robot which was still active and control another Robot. So mom very hardly remove cell and killed but she can not killed him then she say sorry for whatever she did with him and says that we are family so you can not kill me but Robot didn't listen and killed the mom as he wants to live with son.

Second Film :-

This film is showing the fear of being parents and how it is difficult to be good parents but as they feel easy after the invention of the Robots. They called it i- Mom. i- mom is helping in raising the children, people feel i-mom as personal trainer for the raising kids. Particular in this film story about the kid who doesn't like i- mom but his own mother don't have time to do care of him. But the kid don't like I-mom as she doesn't cook well. But there are version of i-mom as upgradation.
But kid doesn't like this i-mom due to her skin tone is dark. Kid suggest to i-mom for using lipstick and make up. And help her for choosing it. But she misunderstood the thing and made chicken from the little baby girl and that's how story end.

Third film :
Anukul is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language science fiction drama short film directed by Sujoy Ghosh with Parambrata Chatterjee and Saurabh Shukla in the lead roles. It is based on the eponymous short story written by Satyajit Ray.

Nikunj Chaturvedi, a Hindi Teacher, buys an android from a salesperson of Chowringhee Robot Supply Corp. Before buying it, Nikunj Babu is warned by the salesperson not to hit the android named Anukul.

A few days later, Nikunj Babu's cousin brother Ratan visits Nikunj Babu at his home. He is surprised to see that his brother had bought a robot. Since he had recently been fired from his workplace due to complications with androids, the enraged Ratan proceeds to hit Anukul in the head with a clothing iron, causing Anukul to shut down.

In a different visit to his cousin brother's house, Ratan tells Nikunj Babu (who has recently lost his job due to a much-smarter and more efficient android) that he had become rich by inheriting the wealth from a recently deceased relative. While Nikunj Babu is away, the drunk Ratan again attempts to abuse the android, forcing Anukul to electrocute him with a high voltage electric spark, resulting in his untimely demise. The doctor, who examines Ratan, claims that he died from a heart attack.

A lawyer visits Nikunj Babu at his home from whom Nikunj Babu learns that he has inherited Ratan's whole wealth, as he is the only living next of kin. He is surprised to know that the value of his newly discovered wealth is ₹11.5 crore. Nikunj Babu and Anukul briefly exchange glances, as the film ends.

Conclusion:-

Most of fears regarding technology stem from a lack of information. The fear of the unknown can make us fear the worst. While there are potential pitfalls in new and emerging technologies, the main purpose of artificial intelligence and the internet of things is to improve humanity and the lives of society. Artificial intelligence has changed the world a lot and will bring many more changes in the coming days. AI is already embedded in our daily lives. Let’s take an example: many of us use virtual assistants like Google Assistant, Alexa, Siri, etc. to help us. It is predicted that in the near future, AI will be more embedded in our daily lives and that upcoming AI-based innovations will change the world forever.

And while the threat of security breaches exists, there’s hope in that tech companies are continuously working to better safeguard their products and services to minimize risks. It is a fact that technology is made by human and it's controlled by human only but when technology go out of control it will always dangerous and it's vanish everything as it's more powerful than human. But by intelligence human can controlled it.
